How to run it
- Use real craft materials and keep directions short and playful.
- Start with 1-step directions that use one basic concept (on, under, big, little).
- Add a second step once the child is following 1-step directions easily.
What to track
- Record accuracy by concept so you know which ones (spatial, size, quantity) need more work.
- Note whether a gesture or model was needed.
Make it easier or harder
- Easier: Use gestures and point to the item, or work on one concept at a time.
- Harder: Add 2-step directions or contrast pairs (put the big star on top, the little one under).
Home practice
Give families a list of 3 concepts to use during play or bath time.
